Astronomy (from the Greek words astron (ἄστρον), "star", and nomos (νόμος), "law") is the scientific study of celestial objects (such as stars, planets, comets, and galaxies) and phenomena that originate outside the Earth's atmosphere (such as the cosmic background radiation).
that's why it's 100% normal to see stars and any other object from the space on the 2009 Europa stamps, no ?
If an theme is "Astronomy" - why to present us with "space" and "star" topic?

Hello
ReplyDeletethanks for your comments on my blog.
:o)
the deffinition of Astronomy is:
Astronomy (from the Greek words astron (ἄστρον), "star", and nomos (νόμος), "law") is the scientific study of celestial objects (such as stars, planets, comets, and galaxies) and phenomena that originate outside the Earth's atmosphere (such as the cosmic background radiation).
that's why it's 100% normal to see stars and any other object from the space on the 2009 Europa stamps, no ?
It's worth noting that the stars on this stamp are punched out. There is also a beautiful sheet, not shown here.
ReplyDeleteI show only so called mini-sheets (max 10 stamps) on my blog. Aland issued this stamp in a sheet of 16 with gutter pairs.
